日本研究中心成立于1990年7月,根据中日关系的特点以及上海作为我国经济中心的实际,确立了以日本经济和中日经济关系为主攻方向,同时对日本政治外交、中日美关系、中日人文交流等开展综合性研究。

中心现有教授3人,副教授3人,行政人员2人,校内外兼职研究员80余名,并聘请日本、美国、韩国等国著名学者、实业家担任顾问教授。中心图书室收藏日文图书杂志6万余册,多为重要工具书及经典著作。中心1991年创办定期刊物《日本研究集林》(半年刊),为我国南方唯一一份综合性日本研究的专门学术杂志。

中心科研人员代表性成果收录于《复旦日本研究丛书》,已出版20余册;累计发表中、日、英文学术论文150余篇(CSSCI);截至2017年共举办大型国际学术研讨会28次,出版会议论文集25本;作为首席专家承担国家社科基金重大攻关项目1项,教育部哲社重大课题攻关项目2项,省部级及日本政企团体委托课题30余项。中心积极参与智库建设,与日方学者联合撰写年度《中日关系战略报告书》,与商务部、中联部等中央部委密切配合,建言献策。

中心培养日本研究方向的博士、硕士研究生80余名,其中有来自日本、韩国、美国、东南亚及欧洲的学生。中心也为国外访问学者等提供条件。

中心与日本东京大学、京都大学、早稻田大学、庆应大学、成蹊大学等著名高校建立了密切的学术交流关系。与日本国际交流基金、卫材株式会社、三井物产、三菱商事等多年来形成密切的交流与合作关系。复旦大学池田大作思想研究中心靠挂于本中心。

The Center for Japanese Studies, Fudan University

  

The Center for Japanese Studies, Fudan University (hereinafter the Center) was founded in July 1990. In the light of the characteristics of China-Japan relations and Shanghais position as Chinas economic center, the Center focuses its researchon Japanese economy and Sino-Japan economic relations, as well as comprehensive researches on Japanese politics and diplomacy, China-U.S.-Japan relations, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and Japan.

Currently the Center has 3 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 2 staff members, and over 80 Adjunct Researchers. In addition, the Center appoints eminent scholars and industrialists from Japan, the U.S. and South Korea as consulting professors. The library affiliated to the Center owns a collection of more than 60,000 Japanese books and journals, most of which are important reference books and academic classics. Starting from 1991, the Center has been publishing its semi-annual journal, Review of Japanese Studiesthe only academic journal focusing on Japanese studies in Southern China.

The faculty members’ representative research works are mainly collected in the Series of Fudan Japanese Studies, with over 20 volumes published to date. The faculty membershave also published more than 150 papers in Chinese, Japanese, and English. Up to 2017, the Center has held 28 large-scale international symposiums, and published 25 collections of conference papers accordingly. As chief experts, the faculty members at the Center have conductedone Key Research Project of National Social Science Fund, two Key Research Projects in Philosophy and Social Science of Ministry of Education, and over 30 projects commissioned by Chinas provincial and ministry-level organizations as well as Japan’s governmental and corporate organizations. As part of its think-tank construction, the Center co-edits with Japanese scholars and publishes the Strategic Report on China-Japan Relations annually, and collaborates closely with central ministries and commissions, including Ministry of Commerce and The International Liaison Department of CCP, to provide policy reports and recommendations.

The Center has instructed over 80 Master and PhD students in Japanese studies, including foreign students from Japan, South Korea, the U.S., Europe and Southeast Asian countries. The Center also hosts overseasvisiting scholars constantly.

The Center keeps close connections and academic exchange with top universities in Japan, including University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Waseda University, Keio University, Seikei University, etc.  In addition, over the years the Center has kept cooperative relations and frequent communications with Japanese organizations and corporations, including Japan Foundation, Eisai Co., Ltd., Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and Mitsubishi Corporation. The Study Center for Daisaku Ikeda’s Thoughts at Fudan University is also affiliated to the Center.
